Inside the gate there is a Chinese Dogwood to the left and a large Japanese Maple to the right. On the far side of the fence there is a Privet hedge. The two columns are part of the hedge which was trained to grow up and over the door frame creating a living archway more evident when viewing this from the other side.

Where did you get the door?

The door was found in the basement of the house and was original to the house. Old doors such as these can be found at re-use centres, antique/flea markets and stores selling architectural salvage.

is that cedar that you used for the fence and doorway?

The hedge is Privet.
