Hi, my name is "Debbie" like you couldn't figure that one out. I have a Mathotiana in my backyard. Two plants about 4 feet tall. One is blooming for the first time, and the other one has beautiful buds, but it doesn't seem to want to open. My mom left me the house, and while she was here, the flowers never opened. Mine look like the one above. I didn't think there was anything in the middle, but today, one of the flowers has opened up more and there are yellow stems inside. On yours, after they have been on the bush for a while, do the outer edges of the pedals turn purple? Mine are. They are so beautiful.
