kitchen design question

in a small kitchen, would it be appropriate and look cohesive to do grey painted cabinets on bottom and white on top? OR would it look too chopped up and like there's to much going on?

I always feel if it is a small kitchen it is best to keep all the cabinetry the same. It will look chopped up. Perhaps you do white cabinets which will make it feel more spacious and gray tile.

I love the idea of using two different colors but I think if u want your kitchen to appear complimentary and uniformed I would stick to one color ...light colors would make the space look larger but I also like the idea of using a light taupe color for the walls to warm the space and still tie everything together you could also do that light taupe for cabinets and if you wanted to do a shade darker for the bottom cabinets and just one shade lighter for the top if u still want the two colors

We have an ideabook full of Two-toned kitchen design ideas. Most of the designs are generally larger. I'd also discuss with your designer who has can view the space that you have and let you know if they see anyway to appropriately break up the space with two-tones or if sticking with one tone is your best option.
