How heartbreaking but easily solved, some ideas, doesn't have to match your fabric as long as it compliments it, you could add a little bit of the trim on your blind, I did this to my blind by glue gunning a trim down both sides of my blind about an inch in from the sides and it looked great, didn't even need to take blind down

With little ones (note pink vehicle) they will probably wear out soon enough and you can simply replace. Or, have hem let out by a pro and let her use another similar fabric hem on back from a similar fabric. Or just let them ravel out and be different. Like a fringe which could be secured with a simple line of machine stitching to avoid further fraying. Hope that stirs some ideas. Good luck.

Also looks like you may have room to lower the rod slightly. Did dry cleaners compensate you?

dry cleaners tried to stretch drapes, then they let out hem. It's been back and forth but they will compensate me for the alterations.

no room to lower curtain rod as it is only an inch or so above the trim. I also don't want to put any additional holes in the wall.

Add a color panel on bottom and matching one on the side. Any fabric store has a drapery cloth section or go to Calico Corners website. This may end up being a blessing in disguise and will really create a custom look!
