Thanks! This one was primarily inspired by its site, which dropped dramatically from the sidewalk so that we accessed the front door via a footbridge. The clients also had some particular requests which led us to propose the vertical tower, inside which was a den and library.

Generally speaking we like to explore the interplay of solids and voids in all of our work, and bring interest to the massing through a well-considered layering of materials.

It's too bad that the tower wasn't big enough for the catwalk the client wanted. I think the space worked out pretty well without it, though. My favourite part of that space is how we lined up all the shelves and millions with each other!
