I think the first one is the best- keeping it simple and neutral. I like the 3rd but it might make things too busy.

The first one is a safe bet however, the second one is the winner!

I like both the 2nd and 3rd samples. I really love the 3rd, but it might seem a bit trendy in a couple years.

Thanks everyone, I like the second one also, my fear is that it is very light as compared to the color on stairs would that make the stairs narrower or should I consider 3 inch binding around it in darker color.

The second one is also my favorite of the three. It is unique and brings a little extra style to the space!

Keep looking, if the stairway is away from the entry, so the feet have another clean OFF area,
lighter color will work. I would choose a medium shade of the wall color, it will compliment
your project. The nap of the carpeting being lower and a pattern will help hide any day to day traffic problems.

In taking another look at your selections, please stay away from any fibers that come near to Acrylic, it will fuss and break off, it will look more like wool then any other fiber and the worse. Wool has never been a recommended cleanable fiber, animals can find the odor
of another animal after processing, so not unusual to chew on it. Any NYLON is the most expensive, but he best with a tight gage construction.

I like the second one as well ,I think it is classic with a bit of an edge. Wool is a good choice and very durable .As for animals chewing wool rugs I don't think is a real issue because most woven area rugs are made of wool and you don't hear of an excess number of animals chewing them .

Another thought, lines on stairs, hope you understand that the installer may ask for extra cost and not guarantee straight lines. Only trying to help!!!! Good Luck

I wouldn't do a 3" dark binding on choice # 2...let it stand out against the dark stairs - it will be gorgeous. If you're worried about soiling, make sure shoes are off before heading upstairs. You can and should have carpet cleaned, especially in high traffic areas, annually.

I need to talk to my daughter, I helped her purchase a beauty wool area rug, I cautioned her about the animals. The first time she left her house and did not put the dog in its kennel, she came home with a hole in the rug. The dog was NO puppy. Thanks everyone I checked with the installer this carpet has very tight construction and it has 100 % stain master Nylon with 20 years wear and texture retention warranty . I have also got few more wool samples please guide me what should I do looking forward for your opinion.

Definitely avoid the last of the 1st you showed. Too trendy. I would go with nylon in a shade closest to your revere Pewter color BM only a shade darker.

The 2nd new one is nice. But I still prefer the original second one you posted.

like Warren Buffet, he purchased Shaw and now you pay someone $200 to look at the warranty on Shaw's carpet and I without current facts, say you get nothing, we know Warren needs more money.
