It should be okay with your floor.

Be sure and get samples to see how it looks in your light. Medium and light grays tend to read blue and purple so watch for that. A good way to see how blue or purple it is is to look at the paint swatch in the noon day sun.

As MarleneM suggested, I would also recommend something that has a gray tone but isn't gray. I think a true gray wouldn't be the best complement for your floors or kitchen. Try Edgecomb Gray or Revere Pewter but make sure to paint a sample square and look at the color throughout the day bc those grays/greiges do look different in different lighting

I LOVE Edgecomb Gray (Ben Moore). it is a very soft neutral with, in my opinion, no undertones at all, so it can seem warm or cool depending on the light. it complements both warm and cool woods very well. I have it throughout our condo in Florida which is dark in the mornings and bright in the afternoons. it's first floor, so not exceedingly bright at any time. Anyway, give that color a try..bet you'll like it!

I would prefer to paint with dark coffee brown on the one wall where you had laid SAY GRACE which should matches with the color of dining chair as well as it matches the waves of the floor color.remaining three walls would be painted with pearl white.so that the contrast colors highlight the entire large room.
