Can you tell me what is the width and spacing for the reversed board and batten that you used? Thanks!!

We used 1x8 boards spaced 1/2" apart.

Could you please tell me what species of wood was used on the vertical siding? Was it milled as a vertical lap or is it truly reverse board and batten?
