I prefer the darker green. The lighter one reminds me of a hospital.

Are you referring to the poster board hanging in my breakfast nook, or the lighter green painted under the sample next to the tile?

Can you post a picture of the entire kitchen and breakfast area together? It's hard see how the green looks with the granite. Agree that the nomadic desert looks better with the granite and counters, but there are so many different shades of beige that may work better with both your breakfast nook and kitchen. Consider choosing a more neutral beige such as accessible beige or balanced beige (a bit darker) by Sherwin Williams.

Neither one of the work with your granite. Part of what's throwing it off is how much brighter white your subway tile is than the cream in the granite.

Thank you Karen. Painting the table is where my mind has been going lately. Just started reading about Annie Sloan. More research to do on the durability on a table the 4 or more of us use multiple times a day. Any 1st hand knowledge about that?

I agree with Karen. Love your kitchen color as is. I just started using chalk paint recently. If you paint the table use a polyurethane or Annie Sloan makes a finish for heavy use. What color paint did you use for the island?

Yes, btassio-I've had lots of experience with Annie Sloan paint but only painted small accent pieces. They look amazing. I'm not sure about how well the paint would hold up on a dining table-but I've heard good things. What about having your table spray painted in a a gray and then replacing (if it's in your budget) the chairs. Like Sabryna's idea of finding a color a couple shades lighter than you island base to paint the table. I will take some pictures of the pieces I've painted using Annie Sloan and post later. Wouldn't change the colors in your kitchen, though-really looks beautiful as it is!

I 100% agree with Karen Dumont. I think your kitchen looks AWESOME and would change the table if anything. I also have done several pieces with chalk paint and the key to durability is many thin coats of wax. However, even the best chalk paint/wax job will show wear eventually on a table top. What I would really recommend is re-finishing the top part of the table (perhaps something a little darker stain) then coat with several coats of polyurethane or polycrylic. Both top coats take some getting used to, so do a test piece before you try your table top. I would then paint the remainder of the table a different color in chalk paint...perhaps the green to match your island? Chairs are a tough job because of all the nooks and crannies. You may want to just consider buying new chairs if it's in the budget. Painting/waxing them is doable, but it's very time-consuming and more difficult to get a perfect outcome. Congratulations on almost being done with your kitchen. it looks fantastic.
