Hi. I am not an expert, but I'll try. :) Your crown molding is nice and does it have enough space behind it to mount curtain rods? Even if not many say to have curtains from ceiling to floor for a clean look. Does your kitchen have color already? any art or possessions for the room/s yet?

Is couch grey? walls what color? You have straight lines and quite neutral that I can tell - you could do almost anything! :)
How many feet from tv unit to couch? and how wide is the couch?

Choose a rug and curtains that have some color and pattern to give the eye something to focus on. That will help bring personality to the room. Be sure and put a rug under the dining room table as well. Where everything is so neutral, you could go with a deep burgundy, burnt orange or teal color to brighten things up.

Find some nice art work that reflects your personality for the walls. Put up enough to add visual interest to the room. Go with what you think looks right as it's a matter of personal opinion how much art work should be on the walls. Frame it in either the dark wood like your chairs or white frames to go with your other furniture. Use colorful matts if at all possible to add more personality to the art work.

Lower the TV about 18" so you don't have your head tilted backwards when watching it as that causes chronic neck and head pain.
