A deep red would tie in with th eroof, but a white door would would draw the eye. Try one and if you don't like it cange it to the other color! :-)

White would be a good color.

Older Victorian houses often have a vibrantly colored front door. I am looking for something fun, that pops but goes with the exiting colors.

Yellow ocher is a traditional color and would also work.

the golden yellow color of a daylilly flower would be great pop of a color on your door, then add some day lillies around the flag pole and around your bushes.

The Fine Paints of Europe product is called Holland Shellac and they sell a door kit for about $110, including the paint, all the brushes, instructions, paint thinner, sand paper, etc. The results are beautiful too. Be sure to do both your door and your screen if you are keeping the screen door.

Whatever color you chose for your door the storm will have to match. Otherwise, your door will be framed and the color will be reduced, making your door look skinny. I would call your home Greek Revival rather than Victorian and you should consider painting your all trim white and squaring off your porch railings.

Ochre is a term used for both a golden-yellow or light yellowish-brown color or for a form of earth pigment which produces the color. The pigment can also be used to create a reddish tint known as "red ochre".

If you go to Lowe's, ACE, or any other hardware store adn ask for ochre paint they will show you the colors.

Since I agree with a dark red I have nothing to contribute.

Given how the front door is situated under the porch and out of the light - I'd suggest going with something bright. The red will probably be too dark. White would certainly pop, but is a bit boring and won't really distinguish the door - I must say I love the yellow!

Dar Eckert...that wasn't exactly what I had in mind. That first door looks more like a lemon yellow than yellow ochre.
The attached pictures reflect what I had in mind though I still think white would be the best color for this particular door. It would be inviting and draw the ey toward the entrance of the house...which is what door color is supposed to do. :-)
