Great looking floors. Is this a type of terrazzo?

These are polished concrete floors with local (upstate NY) bluestone used as aggregate. They are really beautiful and contain radiant heating so they are comfortable too. Thank you for your interest and I'm sorry for the delay.

Hi, my contractor was supposed to prepare the concrete floor in my 500 sf garden apartment to expose the aggregate for a look such as this. Unfortunately he floated the concrete to a tight finish with the intention of polishing it. There are radiant tubes in the slab, so removing it is not an option. Can the tight finish be ground to expose anything at this point? I'm not even sure what aggregate is in the mix as he clearly never intended to acheive the desired result. Can you recommend a contractor experienced in this work local to NYC/Brooklyn. Thanks!
