Fungal infection tillandsia

Hi everyone, I am rather new to airplants but have about 17 airplants currently that I have bought online. They are all doing very well so far and I love them all a lot. Recently I bought 2 airplant globes from aldi's. Only when I got home I realised that one plant was already dead and the other one was in very bad shape. Both had been glued to the globe along with some smelly red moss. I decided to try and nurse the living airplant, a miserable ionantha, back to shape, because it still had some green to it. I removed it from the globe and kept it with my other plants. Anyway, it's been two weeks and I have soaked it in water with my other airplants twice already including one for 8 hours. Today, I decided to remove some of the brown leaves and to my horror, I spotted black sooty specks on the inside leaves of this plant. I removed a whole lot of leaves till I reached a place where there's much less of the black stuff and frankly speaking, there will not be any plant left if i pluck anymore. But my question is that since I have soaked this potentially fungus infected plant with my other airplants, is there a risk of my other plants getting this fungal infection as well? I fear the most for the antplants especially my beloved caput medusaes. Is it fungal infection? How can I treat this plant and do I need to prophylactically treat my other plants? None of the others seem to show these black specks so far. Any advice/suggestions/comments most welcome! Thanks in advance Dr. Medusae
