How often does the NCHFP retest approved recipes?

The pros here are always saying to only use recipes from current blue book or nchfp website. So how often do they retest these recipes? And what about recipes like Annie's Salsa that has been around for years now and is highly recommended on this forum?

In general, the instructions have been "reviewed" every 3-4 years and any changes in recommendations made then. Re-tested only if ongoing research has raised any new concerns/results.

But that was before all their funding was cut late 2012. Since then, per their website, any further testing/revisions/research have been stopped. Reviews only now as time and staffing permits and staffing is minimal. So focus for the past couple of years has been on seasonal and hot button issues only.
