Merry Christmas!

First winter and first Christmas here in Bella Vista AR as lived in Florida for about 30 years, I was hoping for a white Christmas. Oh well, still glad to be here. Merry Christmas and stay warm.

Beautiful door wreath. You may get some snow yet so don't give up.

    Glad you like the move.

Thanks but that was last years wreath while I was still in Florida. The owl just decided he liked it and sat on it all the time. Was so cute I had to get his picture.

Oh my gosh! I didn't realize that was a real owl when I saw your photo. That's so cool!
Sorry you didn't get to see a white Christmas. It does make it feel more like the real thing. Especially nice if the shopping is all done.

Yes Christie, the owl is real. There was a hole in my front yard down there in Fla where they nested. The babies were adorable. The adults hiss at you if you get too close. I miss them.

What kind of owl was it? I hear owls but seldom see them.

I was glad there was no snow. I don't like to slip and slide. You will have a chance at it maybe soon. Be very careful if you aren't used to driving in it.

Since I am retired I just stay home when there is snow or ice. I missed church yesterday because there was a little frozen stuff on the road.

I have Australian cousins who try to celebrate Christmas as they see it depicted in the US. It is hot there now; they have to go to mountains for snow. I have a beach scene Christmas card from Australia.

Helen, the owls are called Burrowing Owls. They are very cute and fun to watch. When they are excited they do a funny little hop up and down. Search them on youtube, there are some funny videos on there.

I was curious so I checked a distribution map to see if we have them here also but apparently not. They're not far away. They have them in Kansas and Iowa. Maybe it's too difficult to burrow here for all the rock. lol
We do have Screech owls which are small and will sometimes show up in the daytime. I've seen one only a couple times in our yard since we've lived here.
