I planted some coreopsis last spring, they bloomed beautifully all summer long. I thought they would go all the way down to the ground during winter. But they haven't so far. I see all the old growth from last year but there is also new growth coming from the ground at the base of the plant. When it gets warmer, do I cut off all of last year's growth or leave them? Will they flower again this summer?
