need help with indeterminate varieties!

I have a question about how indeterminate varieties yield when they're ready to harvest.

I've never grown indeterminate varieties, only determinate; as a result, I'm not familiar with how indeterminate varieties produce as far as the yield goes.

I know with determinate varieties you get a heavy yield over the course of a couple weeks, and then they're done.

However, I know indeterminate varieties produce until frost.

When they start to produce fruit, do you get a heavy yield like determinate varieties? Or, since they produce until frost, do you get smaller yields over the harvest period each time you harvest?
