Yep - Got one about 8 feet tall and 5 feet wide. Eight fruits last year. A fast growing tree with good fruit production and TASTY too!

But I live out in Palm Springs - where the heat meets the street!

Thanks MyAmberDog -- I'm very familiar with Palm Springs. At what time of the year do you harvest ripe Valencia Pride mangos?

hmmmmm.....my recollection was sometime in Late July, Early August, but I'm betting yours will be 4-5 weeks later than mine because I get all that extra heat for ripening...

I planted a Florigon, VP, Nam Doc, and 2 Glenn 3 gallon. After a few months I would definitely have to agree at least in my experience that the VP is an incredible grower in a head to head. The Florigon has gotten very thick but the Pride has gotten thick and exploded with branches and leaves. I'm excited to see what it is capable in a full sun 10A environment given its reputation as a hulk of the mango world. Nam Doc is the prettiest one in terms of early shape and leaves but is tied for third with the two Glenns.

I'm one of many in Florida that have been very successful in growing VPride mango. I'm located in the northern fringes of mango growing regions of Florida, in zip 32955 (9B).

The trees have vigorous growth habits and yield large fruits abundantly every year by mid to end July.
