Double door gap

We just got our door knobs installed and noticed gaps at the top and bottom of both of our double doors. Any suggestions on how to fix this correctly would be greatly appreciated. I will discuss with builder but we hope to move in Monday so would like to get fixed over the weekend if we can. ThAnks

In order to keep responsibility for the quality of the work in your contractor's lap, it is best to let him propose a solution first. If that is not satisfactory, ask if a seal will work. Don't let responsibility for the solution shift to you.

I agree with you renovator8, I will definitely ask him about "something obviously missing" Hopefully he is already aware of it, and working on itÃ°ÂÂÂand if not I now can help him figure it out.

Google "Astragal Boot" there are many typical designs, but there should be one specifically for that make of astragal. if there is a gap at the top..something is not right, as the astragal should be as tall as the door slab and the rabbeted jamb should block that gap.
