Need a very small vent register for a toe kick

I'm installing a new closet system and it will be covering a vent. It is the ikea pax closet. Anyways I bought a 2x10 toekick grill and it turned out to be too tall for it because 2 inches is not the height of the whole thing, it is just the height of the grill part. Basically I need something that is around 2 to 2 1/2 inches tall on the outer edge not just the grill.

Anyone have any suggestions?

If you don't need to vary the amount of air coming out of the vent just get a wooden one and saw it two pieces. You could take it apart and cut it to the size you need.

That is not a bad idea, I'll get looking to see if I can find one that might look right on there.

Running into this same issue here in 2021. Ikea doesn't have the dimension of the toetick on its website but I suppose I could measure it at the store. Do you have the dimension of the toekick on the lager 92 7/8 tall Pax unit?
