Unless you're planning on moving out in the near future you should buy for what you want to today and for your future.

You'll be losing 33" of counterspace to go with wall ovens, and spend about 5K-8K more in the renovation. That is pretty valuable space in a small kitchen, not to mention the budget. Too valuable to lose over having a wall oven. Don't get caught up with the "gotta haves" if your layout or budget can't support the choice!

As someone who's only ever had a single oven (and a modest kitchen), I'd choose the single oven + speed/micro over double ovens + separate micro. Unless you're just swimming in space, or see a real practical benefit to a second regular oven vs a speed oven.

How often would you use 2 conventional ovens? Major holidays only? Once a month entertaining? Weekly?

If you wouldn't use both very often, it would make more sense to put the micro in the stack and save your drawer space for storage.

I don't know anything about speed ovens, but one of those might serve you better than a second oven plus microwave.

Thanks for all the good advice! I do have plenty of counter space with a large island for prep work. So the "stack" wall oven/micro seems to be the way to go and will allow me to access both from counter height and below (since I'm vertically challenged!) Both oven & micro have convection so I think I should be covered for the times when I need a little more cooking options.
