I made one set to match the wedding quilt I gave my grandson.

I made two pillowcases for my great nieces out of the backing fabric that I used for their Marimekko Chinese Coin quilts. It was a very finely woven fabric with a great hand and I had exactly one yard left over from each backing.

My sister made me a beautiful quilt - all her own design, and actually, another sister and I worked on it a little bit, too. (It will always have a wonderful memory of a great day!)....anyway, I made a set of pillowcases to go along with it. Tomorrow I'll try to get a picture and post. (The Hubs is in there sleeping right now; doubt he'd take kindly to me going in with lights and a flash!!! Hahahaha).
I LOVE pillowcases that match quilts, tho..It's kinda like the icing on the cake.

I would often make pillowcases to match finished quilts, especially if the quilt was gifted. Pillowcases take so much extra fabric, I seldom make them now because I am on a strict budget.
Like Beth, I love the cases included with quilts.

Yup, I like to "wrap" the quilt in the pillowcase.
