The closest Joann's to me is an hour and I have never found many batiks. Although I do get my batting by the roll with my 50% off coupons.

If I want batik I'd just as soon pay for it at a quilt shop, since JoAnn charges nearly as much. :)

I needed new rulers and wanted to see the Olfa ones before I bought them, but of course they didn't have any in the store. I went ahead and ordered them online and if I don't like them I'll send them back.

Rita, can you get the muslin on the bolt from them online?

Donna

Donna, you probably can order online but don't know if they ever offer it on sale. I don't order online, I'm paranoid of it, I guess I better get with the times and figure out how to do it without giving up my credit card info. I use credit cards now to shop since they say it's safer than debit cards but for some reason I'm leery of the online use of them. I'm also leery of PayPal since the hackers are so smart I'm sure they can hack them just like they do the websites and credit cards. Can you use those prepaid gift cards for Visa or Mastercard for online purchases?? Yes it's common to want something specific at Joann's and then they are out when you get there. It used to be not such a big deal when I lived in Tampa but now it takes a lot of driving and time where I live now.

Rita, I used a JoAnn gift card yesterday so I assume you'd be able to use a prepaid V/MC, too.

I also think whatever is on sale at the store is on sale on their website, too, but I haven't checked their site much so don't know for sure.
