I have one, but use it in my garage. It could be b/c I'm not doing things correctly, but I have trouble keeping the moisture correct. I only add veg and fruit and use the pellets they sell. The problem is when the compost is too wet it drains to the collector, along with the heater, it's a breeding ground. A funky smell develops, the tiny carbon filter is not enough to deal with the smell. When I do get it right it does work well, but it's would not be a perfect solution in an apartment IMHO. Again, this could be b/c I'm doing it all wrong....

Thanks Trivan--that's a concern. Can't have a smelly kitchen as it's an open plan.
