I would love some ideas for 2 wall sconces that won't break the bank (I'm thinking less than $100 each).

It is hard to tell from the picture, but the walls are tiled with a large format white tile that has a wave texture running through it.

The stair rails will be powder coated aluminum (to mimic stainless steel) with glass panels.

I am not sure if the sconce should light just below, or above and below? I am terrible with lighting, so any ideas are appreciated.
