Boring bedroom help !

While I am happy with our bedroom wall color, everything else seems to bother me... We are not looking to purchase furniture, but I have thoughts of painting the two dressers we currently have ( maybe with Annie Sloan chalk paint?). I want something for above the bed, art of some sort but I don't know what. I don't like how the current wall art is organized. I just find the room very boring and uninviting. I want the bedroom to seek more relaxing, like a little oasis. I also want decor that flows better.. Right now it's not the case.. Possibly adding a different color scheme. Maybe switching up the furniture placement? New duvet and bedding colors?Appreciate any suggestions you have! We have a rug that takes up the majority of the floor (wood flooring) and the bed is king size. It can feel cluttered, like the walls are caving in...

You need more color. What is the wall color, greenish?

I think I do too! Our color is Morning Dew by Benjamin Moore. It's a green/grey color depending on the time of day... Tends to look more on the grey side, sometimes even bluish... Comforter is West Elm, same with pillows

I also think the small picture over the tall dresser is not proportioned with the big picture on the same wall. I would move the big picture over the tall dresser if it fits.

I think adding something as simple as crown moulding to the ceiling would really enhance this bedroom;) Not very expensive for a huge impact!

i think u can wallpaper those walls or paint it with some colors from Dulux or Benjamin Moore. it would be great if you do some modern stripes or just plain but do some nice dark toned colours. And yes, you can custom your headboard ( or just purchase new headboard ) by painting it white and paint branches on it and then some birds, or just some black flying birds, Also, painting the furnitures would help :)

Thank you everyone for your suggestions!! As far as my favorite color.. I love greys, greens, and soft blues.. I love neutral colors but I find this room is too neutral! Like the idea of taller bedside lamps and moving the larger wall print. Also like the idea of crown molding and a wooden
headboard!! I LOVE a rustic look and would love for this bedroom to look more rustic

I think doing a collage of a couple or several different picture frames/styles of art could look really great above the bed. I also think adding a mirror above the dresser would open up the room a little bit. Good luck!

You always hear "hang'em high" when it comes to curtains but in your case that's made them too short. Then should be about 1/4 from touching the floor. Lower the rods.

Love the idea of a collage or framed photos above the bed.

Thanks for the tip about the curtains... Now that I look at them, I see exactly what you're talking about.

    Thank you!!!

Can you replace the bedside tables? Something more like a cabinet with drawers and definitely taller lamps. Art by the table and not over the bed like this picture.

Yes I can replace the bedside tables. The current ones were hand-me-downs, and are just filling the space. I really like the cabinet you've posted here, even the white color. Good to know about taller lamps! And to have art by the table. I have trouble finding art, and tend to go to photographs. Working on this:)
