It's a single home with the main entrance on the side. In front of the house will be a terace with two glass doors: one from the kitchen and one from the living room.
I want to cover all bricks with stucco and paint...or to cover the space between the front windows with wood.

All those natural stone surfaces are fantastic. DO NOT PAINT. Exterior super as is. Beautiful structural geometry. Add formal plan xeriscape landscaping in front to compliment. Ground cover like "minima" and small low hedge of "privet Japonicum"

I agree with David that the surfaces are fantastic, but I suspect you might not get away with leaving them as is for technical reasons -- for example, not all bricks are suitable to be left to the elements. Also it is a problem for me that two different bricks have been used. So, assuming there is a necessity to paint/cover surfaces, you might consider something like the rendering below -- I love industrial greys with wood. I would suggest that you leave the concrete outline of the geometry on show -- preferably, though painted, in its rough state. Of course the stucco on the brick might raise that surface too much to allow the concrete to be left as is because it will recede. So why should anything be easy?

Sorry to counter you again, David, but I'm just looking at that natural grass ... now my own garden is lawns and mixed beds and roses and stuff, but I think if I lived there I would plant a couple of HUGE trees for future generations and some taller grasses near the house and just leave it. However, yes a xeriscape garden would be excellent. It's just that the grass itself is beautiful, isn't it? Fabian I hope the great emptiness I see around the house stays that way ... but I suppose that's too much to hope.

That high-drama prow-front would be fabulous in wood--I'd choose reclaimed barn wood or even reclaimed river-bottom wood--mounted vertically. (Any exposed beams inside would be great in the same, reclaimed wood.) Also love the idea of rich gray paint (Behr's "Elephant Hide" comes to mind) for the left and right front portions including door frames. I would not distract from the prow-front with contrasting window/door frames. Of course if excess money is a concern (!), would be glorious in stone! Finally, several giant, heritage trees would frame this special home...

Thanks a lot for all your opinions and suggestions. I am still waiting ideas for the facade. I really love the idea of wood, but in a darker colour (wenge) and a lighter paint...if you can help me with a photo. What do you think that would look like?
