Hi all

We are remodeling the kitchen in our house. The existing floor plan is in the first picture (photo 1) and we are trying to convert it into an open kitchen, formal dining, living room floor plan. As far as the kitchen layout is concerned we are stuck trying to decide between the 2 layouts (photos 2 and 3).

- The first floor plan has a U shaped kitchen with a island to the side

- The second floor plan has a 'L' shaped kitchen with an 'L' shaped island.

We would love to hear your feedback on the 2 layouts, pros and cons of each and which one would you prefer over the other.
