Thank you for sharing your lovely photos!!!

Hope this doesn't take up too much space. Practising with my Christmas camera this morning. The Iris will be fully out in an hour or so. Clematis 'Wisley Cream' proved too hard to photograph waving about above my head. You'll have to imagine that one.

    Lonicera fragrantissima

beautiful floral-how hardy is the lonicera?

Look at you all with the pretty flowers! We have a few feet of snow on the ground with another 22" expected from now until Monday night! Won't be seeing anything but white until late-March more than likely!

    Keep these photos coming!!

davids10 - it's totally hardy throughout the UK although the flowers might slow down in very cold temps. (Very cold would be below freezing). But I can't tell you how hardy it would be in the US.

As of today all our plants are just a glean in their Daddy's eye...sigh.

Remember, it's only 20 days until (meteorological) spring.

Good grief - the world turned upside down. I'm half way through a post and the whole site collapses. Now I need to re-register and learn a whole new way to post photos. Plus I can barely read the tiny grey print. And I don't see anywhere to add one's zone.

A few more flowering plants I spotted on my way through town. I only seem to be able to add 4 pictures. Some of you may be relieved. Let's see if it works.

    Prunus x subhirtella 'Autumnalis'

    A white Vinca minor

    Some very pale Crocus thomasinianus

    Euphorbia characias subsp. wulfenii

It should keep your info, if not go to the Your Houzz in the upper right hand corner. You can make changes there. floral_uk

But in order to access Your Houzz you have to reactivate your account. My zone is there but how tedious is it to have to look at every poster's profile to know where they're gardening?

As you can see I've followed your instructions peren.all. Thanks. Strangely it altered posts made before I changed my profile.

Flora, I think I'm going to enjoy you having a new camera, nice!

Now let me see if I can straighten out this new account thing....

Lovely to see spring somewhere, just frozen ground here.

Do I have to add my zone to my name? It shows up in YOUR HOUZZ but not in my signature line.

hostaholic2 - You do not have to but it is nice for others to know the zone you are in without asking . Under your profile info there is a first name line where you can add your zone if you choose.

A pic from today, on my way home. In some neglected front yard, winter aconite (Eranthis), Crocus thommasinianus? and snow drops thrive and delight passers-by year after year

winter aconites won't grow for me but those are nice. thanx for the pic.

Beautiful to see flowers blooming! I appreciate everyone's lovely photos.

This morning before the sun melted them, we had frost flowers.

Hmmmm looks like I can no longer embed images from another online site.

I long for Spring,...meterlogic or OTHERWISE...mostly I long for my WSing to start sprouting and all this snow GONE! Another blizzard coming in tonight. PLEASE keep those gorgeous photos of yours coming! It sure helps some!

Not a flake so far this Winter. But it's raining enthusiastically at the moment. When it stops I'll try and take my Christmas present out for another walk.

Not so much as a flake of snow here either, but rain, rain, and more rain. We had a couple of weeks of freezing weather in november, other than that our winter has been on the mild side. Supposed to be sunny for the next 5 days so that might mean cold nights and frost in the mornings if it's clear. The garden is still too wet to work in but I should be able to get out and clean up some of the gravel paths. Winter isn't over yet we could still get dumped on. One year after a very mild winter we woke up to a foot of snow in the middle of april, that was a shocker. Didn't stay around long it was gone in a day or two.

Well, here in zone 9 in Calif. we got a lot of rain recently, and the entire garden exploded - iris blooming, tulips, lots of narciscus, and all of my old tea roses are blooming. Here is a pic of some salvia leucantha and roses I took 3 days ago.

crocus chrysanthus-reproduces slowly and is particular about where it grows-is that why i love it?

Thanks, all, for the photos of your spring blooms. A reminder for those of us in snow covered areas that spring will come again. Will be potting up some amaryllis today to have fresh blooms by Easter. Used to be that we would first see daffodils in the grocery stores the middle of February. Now they start showing up right after Christmas so no longer are a sign of the coming spring. My purple and green oxalyis plants are filled with tiny blossoms.

record warm temps yesterday, today and probably tomorrow. winter has to come back in the next few months but today it feels far away.

    Almond blossom near my village.

Spring is a while away for me. It will be -40 tonight with the wind chill. Celsius and Fahrenheit meet at -40. The extreme cold is expected to last at least a couple of days.

Beautiful pics everyone..Unfortunately I don't even think I will see the dirt in my yard until June at this rate..The western part of the states has been above normal for months while the eastern half has been way below normal..I don't see any change soon(( Love the pics..
