Tiny Tears was new in 2013 btw. Here is Tall Twister.

When I bought this one back in 2011, Hank told me it was one of his own creation. Imagine my surprise when I actually saw someone else post a TT ... Not sure whether it was in 2013 or 2014. I searched the HLibrary and lo and behold, there was a Tall Twister listed! I just love mine!!

It emerges a wonderfully soft powder blue then eventually settles at a blue/green, is a beautifully symmetrical mound with perfect elliptical leaves and offers up lovely mauve flowers...which were upturned when they opened this past summer!

I have several clumps of TWIST OF LIME and this is what is happening to one of them. Not a reversion because ToL is a sport of Lemon Lime (yellow). Even curioser is the fact that I have a separate seedling that looks like the dark green part. Seedling coming up next.

Thank you Josephine. I am glad you get a chuckle. I have a good time setting them up. I am hoping for a great year again but it has been so warm this winter I am a little worried. I need a few more cold days so please send some Canadian Cold.

My wish list is getting bigger. Tattoo just went high on that list. Along with Tic Toc. Fantastic hostas everyone. I am in total awe of your gardens.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><md>ConnieMay...I notice your Trifecta has generous green margins. Really looks great! Is that because it's older? I'm hoping mine develops more of that important "green" as it ages ... Mine gets sun until about an hour after lunch....trying to invigorate it
  • 11 years ago

    Hi Jo,

Yes, mine is a little different and has always been...I just looked back at a 2012 pic and the centres were narrow back then too, so I don't think it is age related. Although labeled Trifecta I think that it is likely that I have a sport of Trifecta instead.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><md>Jan, McTavish, et al....we should revisit our Trifecta discussion say, sometime in June may I suggest? It will be the second emergence for mine. I'm interested to see any changes to the amount of green margin on the leaves.
