Is there a reason why the table and the bench are so close to the wall ? if not pull them away from it :) That is the only clear thing that I can see ,do you have a chandelier ? I love the wall paper and all the things that you have ..

I would defiantly add a chandelier and is that a small window by the corner? I would put a drape pull to the side. Good luck! It's a nice room

You may have it positioned against the wall due to having a small area to work with. Right? I love the little window. Hey, I hate wallpaper, but I love yours. With the metal chairs & the silver deer(?) head. You do not need the drape. Give us a photo of the bench wall please.

I agree with a crown molding unless you would need to carry it forever as walls intersect. Even if the crown was only at the top of the wallpaper it could work. I want to see your shelf wall.

I hope this works. The site shows the lights wrapped around a branch. You'd have to imagine them on their own. They are copper wires with tiny lights attached. I think it would give an ethereal look strung in your window.

That looks great I would just have a Chandelier installed over the table .

Try centering the silver antelope head over the short end of the table.

Move the shelves--the pictures near the top of the door are just lost there. The other shelf looks like someone's head might bump into it. The balance of that whole wall looks off.

Something like these framed stencils in metallic might compliment your wallpaper.

Add crown molding because the intersection of the wallpaper to ceiling is too stark. Pull the whole thing away from the wall so the people sitting on the bench don't have a shelf hovering above their head. Bad chi.

I agree a light over the table, if budget allows what about upholstered chairs in a gray shiney material to keep with your color scheme. I love the overall design,so in order to enjoy the dining I need comfort. What was your inspiration for the room?

I think you are off to a great start. I think you only need to add overhead lighting and a simple shade that compliments the wallpaper in place. For the lighting consider a grouping of morrocan lanterns with a finish that matches the pseudo white wash treatment on the wood in the space. Great job thus far.

It's a funkis house, That's why There isn't Crown molding. I would have to get it all over then... :-/ I'll post some more pics so you Can see why The Bench is so close to The wall.. I drag it out when we're eating here:-)

I don't know actually what my inspiration has been.. I guess it started with The wall paper :-) I wanted a lot of silver around since it's in the wall paper.. And I also have stainless steel on my kitchen and batroom, wanted a "red thread"(don't know if you use this excpression in english-we do here in Norway) through all The rooms:-)

I think You succeded very good already. You van think about less small things . Fewer and bigger. Bring rithem and rest. I would not do à chandelier because of the deer. One big item can draw the attention. More small things make it feel restless.

I bought two lamps that I'm gonna have up like this (I used an app to show The lamps on The wall).. What do you think?

do u think you could rearrange your furniture? i have drawn out a layout that you could try so that you dont have to pull out your dining everytime you sit to eat.

I like the blue cabinet and think you should add a few accents in that color.

heres what happens now. with this layout, your focus wall will again be the wallpaper wall and not the dining wall. the dining wall will only act as an accent.

in this layout , you could still drop a small chandelier over the living area, like the one sold in ikea for eg. http://www.ikea.com/ae/en/catalog/products/80089461/

to make it more cosy, are u willing to do an accent colour ?

in addition to the chandelier, you could add a large potted vase of flowers on the coffee table bang under the chandelier to cosy up the space.

i have suggested this layout with the longer side of the l shaped sofa against the window because the back of the sofa is not so high , so the view is not restricted and the windows are lovely and high.

in the layout i have provided :

1. you could cosy up the room with a potted plant in between the living and dining area
2. you could add another side table with a small table lamp on the side where the longer side of the sofa ends.

3. you could add a large mirror over the sofa in the living space or a large white frame with a huge white backing and a small black,white , grey picture at the centre of the frame.

4. you could add candle scones to the wall too

I am always a fan of "less is more" . I prefer a few large items over a lot of small items. Choose for some real eye catching stuff. Make groups of the same (smaller items) to make them look bigger and create rest in that way.

Hello- Love your room! Would go with new layout minus the futon and see if your existing dining layout still works if not turn it like proposed , simple chandelier and do not hang it too low , add some grey pillows to bench seat and do not put up those wall sconces hand a large scale piece of artwork on that wall. Have fun .

Well done! I might add a pair of large or trio of small hurricane lamps

on the table, and simply hang the art as I'm not a fan of skinny shelves and propped up decor. Do you really need privacy at that window? I tend to favor a sheer roman in fabric like the drapes in the other part of the room.

I would replace the tiny shelves with a nice sized mirror maybe. Some blue ( or other accent color/pattern) for pillows. Contemporary art work.....something big and colorful to play off all the neutral . I have framed dramatically patterned wallpaper as art that is fun and easy to swap out if one gets tired of it. Or have a child's naive/beautiful artwork enlarged and framed is fun too and can be done at an affordable price.
