with your floor I would keep it wood. white is going to make that floor look dirty.

I would go w/ the new wood look porcelain. It isn't slippery when there is a spill It is enough different from wood it does not look like you are trying to match it to wood. Light gray or tan.

I really do not like white tile in living spaces. Only in baths.

Thanks everyone! I'm probably going to paint the trim white eventually. We did purchase the 18x18 porcelain tile in Grand Cayman Oyster. Pretty excited to see how it comes out!! I'll post a pic when it's all done. Thanks again!!

Here's an update, still working on painting the trim and very happy with our decision to paint it.

Feels a lot lighter and modern.
