Porch flooring

I have a 25'x14' covered porch that serves as a roof for a guest bedroom. It is not screened and at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, it gets wet to varying degrees throughout the year. It currently has rubber based outdoor carpet in need or replacement. I am looking for a more resilient and stylish alternative to the "putting green" carpet.

First, you need to be sure that it is leak-proof, not only in the main part of the floor but along the edges. Tile would be a nice alternative to carpet-type flooring.

we did decking over rubber roof for the roof of our sunroom.

Tile would be a good choice if the framing is solid. You may want to look into an isolation membrane like schluter ditra under the tile.

Rubber membrane would provide a water proof barrier. I've seen this used with a wood deck over the membrane. This Old House Cambridge project episode on this;
