Diving Right In

OK. I'm going to try and create a new post in order to see if I can get things to work properly. I'm asking that someone add a comment so that I can see that this is working.

Since I couldn't figure out how to use Photobucket (Rats! They may not let you anymore.), I did Browse and Choose thing, found the photo on my computer, and uploaded it here:

Now, since I DON'T want to have to keep this photo on my computer, I moved the photo to the trash and emptied the trash. I am hoping that the photo in my posting will remain. We'll see.

Next, I am adding a link to a tutorial on my Backyard Theater Blog. Let's see if that works.

DIY Photobooth

That was pretty straight forward.

Now for a video.

For this, you need to use the youtube URL address, so you can avoid the whole embedding thing, thank goodness.

It doesn't look like they allow you to upload a video directly from your computer.

Now, l'd love it if someone would let me know if they can see all this on their computer.

Bye the way, don't you love the the grass fabric I'm going to use for a patio Easter table setting. Found a whole roll of it in our Mennonite Thrift Store. It's really oil cloth. A WHOLE ROLL!! I'd much prefer cotton, of course, but I figure I can justify "the look" by pointing out that it's for outside.

I have been haunting the local downtown Antique Store (They mostly have vintage stuff.), as they have a big bin of Beanie Babies for 50 cents each. I need at least two more duckies to have one at each grandchild's place.

Over and out.

YES! Yes, I see everything. And because you included a photo in the original post, it's also showing up on the main page. Can you see it? Did you trying changing your Views?

Yes. I did the First Sentence of the Last Post View. I figure the only way to get over the shock is to try out the whole enchilada. I do like the fact that you can add a video. We didn't have that in the old format. I'm sure I'll have more questions later, but am happy that all this is working so far.

Can the original poster edit the TITLE? I made a grammatical error on a recent post and can't figure out how to fix it.

    Thanks again, Tally.

Purplemoon, are you there? I know you'll start to feel more at ease soon. Can we still get to your albums?? How will that work?

Well, I guess we will eventually learn how to navigate. I saw the email about Houzz and the Garden web merging, but until I came to do a little visiting, I wasn't sure I was directed to the right place!

My albums are on Photobucket, and also some on Pinterest, and the links to those should have nothing to do with all these current changes going on. My last post with the links should be able to found fairly easy by scrolling thru some of the posts from a couple of weeks ago. I haven't looked thru stuff yet. Still not happy about all the changes, I don't do "change" well....very set in my ways!! I would like to get rid of the thumbnail posts for other Forums that come up as I don't am not interested on the Holiday page. In the past, the few times I wanted to browse other forums (only one or two interested me) I'd just easily go to theirs. I really only want to see our Holiday posts displayed on the sidebar.....but that's just me. Maybe some of you like seeing others.

I have seen those grass squares. I don't think they were that inexpensive when I saw them.

Luvs, I have no main discussion page. Just trying to get settled with this new look. I'm reporting my "findings" in case it will help others.

We definitely have to connect in Real Life soon.
