Your gardens look great no matter what the season...cant wait to see the new addition this spring...

Dave, your gardens have been the best inspiration. It was your postings and photos that gave me the ideas to do what I have done in my yard. Thanks, so much and we look forward to the redesign completion.

Usually mugo pines dont inspire me, but that 'Carsten's Winter Gold' is stunning...wow, I must get one

Yesterday I grafted one scion (almost no stem so unlikely it will take but I will see) of a W.B. of 'Winter Gold' called 'Blazek'.

Excuse the look? If that's how it looks under construction, I'll surely enjoy seeing the finished project!

A number of folks have stated that it's easier to post photos here and it's no longer necessary to use photobucket. Does anyone know if it's still possible to link to photobucket or use the HTML? Houzz seems to have deleted the GW FAQ pages describing how to do so.

Evidently, no.

No, PB wouldn't link for me. I just drag a photo to their link from my Pictures.

I love the texture combo you have created by adding that 'Blue Snake'. That was a monster of a rootball to transplant. You must be like the Hulk.

Looking forward to your spring photos as always.

The 200lb. 'Blue Snake' root ball was a load but over the years I have learned to do it the easy way with minimal tools and a thought out game plan.

Cool pictures, you have an impressive collection. I had never heard of that deodara cultivar - are you expecting it to be fully hardy for you?

davidrt28 I have never lost a deodara cultivar.

Your gardens always look fantastic but the winter shot is exceptional. Look forward to seeing your updates to the gardens.

Winter in MA.... not normal. Glad I am grafting this winter, not much else to do...except shovel!

sc77 We in Kansas City have had four snows this winter. The biggest one was one inch. Not normal here either. I was out watering several times last week. Something to be concerned about.
