Since you said that the vanity will hit up against walls on both sides, it might not be the best solution to do wall sconces, which I would normally suggest. In that case, I'd go with a vanity bar of lights above the mirror. (I've even see two smaller vanity bars above one large mirror with each bar centered above the sink beneath it.) Thanks for your response! I love the look of wall sconces, but I agree that solution might not be the best. I would be worried about it looking too tight. I appreciate your guide. Would you be able to lend some advice as to the fixture/s length. With a 72" vanity would two fixtures look better than one? If so, how long should each fixture be? About 20" - 25" each? Or one fixture about 30" - 40"? According to the guide, a 75% of the vanity rule is preferred, but I think it might be difficult to find one fixture larger than this.

Definitely it might be difficult to follow the 75% rule with your larger vanity. I would say to have two fixtures and center each one over each sink. In that case, the smaller measurements you suggested could work well.

I wanted to get some pictures of this type of lighting scheme in a bathroom so you can see how it looks. I think it looks great and could work well for you!
