You can now set your zone. I didn't notice where the option was so I figured others may be having the problem (thanks Beeone for pointing out where it was).

Edit your profile (from the "Your Houzz" in upper right), click on "edit profile", go to "advanced settings" (its a menu on the left side), and you will see a box to type your zone in. You can also turn off or tone down all those emails you are getting from Houzz at the same place.
