Shes fine, recovering from gall bladder surgery but she, like others has been unable to log in here since the change over so I'm not sure if or when you'll see her here.

I'm here now, mainly as of 5 min ago, out of curiosity. Actually two surgeries, the first detected two huge stones in the major bile duct, which were removed, the second the next day to remove the gall bladder itself. Knowing I lived alone with an old cat I should never been sent home so quickly, on Jan 29th but it isn't just Medicare that insists on ASAP release from thehospital these days.

I had to hire Martha, whom I know well to prepare food for me as does Freda, my long term person who does everything around here from cleaning to emptying the litter box, to feeding the birds to growing some tomato varieties for me if someone sends me the seedlings.

I wasn't allowed from my bed to the computer until last week. Many problems have ensued and I'm trying to deal with them. MY RN, Connie, is someone I've known since 2004 and Kristen the excellet PT I've also known before as well.

My major goal is to be able to get out to my LR where my recliner chair and TV is and all my many books, but Kristen says maybe in a couple of weeks and no promises. So no tennis watching, which is an obsession of mine but I can check the scores online

Finally, my local primary care MD has been outstanding in terms of calling me, and has made two house calls. She tells me she is very concerned about me and what she does for me shows me that.

    All for now,

    Carolyn

Carolyn, I hardly ever post anything but I follow all your posts. You are "the High Priestess" of my tomato world!! Get better soon! I so wish I lived close enough to help out with the litter box or to bring you a basket of muffins or something home baked! Too early for a basket tomatoes...but that day will come around again!! You have more friends than you will ever know!!! We love you!! Smiles!

Hang in there, Carolyn, its slow going but you will get there. I am glad to see you posting again and just want you to get stronger and get well. Its sounds like you have supportive people who could find you more help, like a home care aid to help with meals and things around the house if you need it. You might ask them about that. We had them for my father when he was sick and can they can come anywhere from a few hours at a time, to all day, to temporary 24 hour live in if you needed it.

glad you are doing better. My gall bladder was taken out when I was 30..so thats a long time ago.....I think I started posting here about 17 years ago, when we first moved out of the city..
I learned everything about growing tomatoes from you and your wonderful book. This year I have three of yours growing Dr. Carolyn...hope they have tomatoes...my plants have often become mixed up when my system of marking them has turned into a fiasco...(tabs fall off
pots, get wet and vanish)..so lots to chance now...I have never seen a bear here, just heard about them...but a fox keeps visiting acting like a dog and wanting food..so someone around here is feeding him... take care..
