I'm a huge fan of 'Professor Sargent myself...

Many camellia nurseries carry the good Professor. If you can find it at a nursery/ garden center near you, you can see before you buy and support a local business.

You might also want to check out retail nurseries that are affiliated with the American Camellia Society, but a word of warning is that the list is somewhat outdated:

One reputable online business is Camellia Forest in NC, and their web site says they have limited quantities of 'Professor Sargent': http://www.camforest.com/Professor_Sargent_p/c-prosarg2qt.htm

If you'd like to give us an idea of where you're located, someone may be able to recommend a retailer near you. There are also some trustworthy retailers on eBay and Amazon, but I'd be cautious about buying plants through those kinds of sources...

The professor has stopped by my local Home Depot and Lowe's stores but he is not a dependable every-year kind of visitor. I have not seen it this year but I mention this in case you happen to be close to one of their stores (call ahead). I think I last saw him at Lowes about 3 years ago or something like that.

If you can't find the Professor, Camellia 'April Tryst' is quite similar.
