Very nice. Consider a slightly contrasting grout to bring out the pattern in the tiles.

To me, it seems too white. I would look for more of a taupe color.

Love the tile - I would go with that and a nice grey grout ( to match one of the colors in the granite ) OR find that tile in a grey tone that matches the granite and grout in white!

Someone told me it would be too much gray, we also have gray floors. Thoughts?

I don't think it would be too much... I think you can find that tile in a crerra marble that will mix both the grey and white... if you are really nervy I would see if you could find those tile is a beautiful yellow or turquoise ( pale ) for a nice pop of color! or even do the white and do a colored grout! If you are the kind of person who has "things" on your counter - mixer , canister, etc - then don't go too much in the backsplash - make the accessories your major influx of color...

Yes actually I found that shaped tile in the teal color that I thought would look great too

I love the tiles but not with the granite I think they are competing with the granite and will be too busyand with contrasting grout even more so I would do a very simple glass subway tile in color to match one of the colors in the granite and for sure not the teal which has no connection to the granite at all.

Love it but would just use the same color grout, as you don't want it taking over and feeling too busy.

I think it is actually better to keep with a neutral in your background. It will give you more versatility and flexibility as you grow in the space. Your taste and color preferences will change over the years, doing a color in a mostly neutral space will be a big commitment. I think you can instead add color in the wall paint for big impact that is easier to change in time or with small accent pieces like canisters/small kitchen appliances that will be out, etc.

Totally agree with Patricia Colwell and Krystle. I'd go with subway tiles in a neutral color that blends with the granite. Don't let your backsplash compete with the granite.

What about a light creamy yellow to warm up the room and compliment granite.

Love Maureen's very pale creamy yellow but does it work with your granite? Hard to tell the true colors on screen.

We have some yellow on the wall now and I don't think it works that great in the space.

Other than grey in the granite, is there another color that could help you decide? If not a light bluish/grey may work.

the granite has mostly taupe, gray, white, beige tones. i have a few teal accessories and i do like those with the granite. i am not liking the green color of the dining room with the kitchen though. my husband wanted to extend the green color into the kitchen but i think we need something different.

Love the arabesque. You'll have to make the determination on color, but you might consider another size.

Thank you so much! I really like that shape but was worried it was too busy looking. I had posted a picture of a larger shape with my granite earlier. Was thinking maybe of white subway all over and maybe the arabesque shape near the range.

I say go for some color in either the backsplash or walls but not both. I agree the shape of the tiles, while gorgeous, distracts from the beautiful counters. We just put a deep teal accent wall in the dining room and love it! It's Juniper Ash I believe, Behr. I think if it works with your granite it would look so nice with the white cabinets and light from the window

I think something like revere pewter would be nice. If you are brave, something like eggplant would be beautiful. Or, a gray with lavender undertones like this last pic (I guess the paint is BM Organdy).

I like the arabesque, but bigger scale like Grover's last pic. I wouldn't do the mix of subway and arabesque as you mentioned (unless you nicely "frame" the arabesque accent). I'd prefer one or the other without the switch over the range.

The teal color shown earlier would be a beautiful option for a possible wall color... I think I may be from a different school of thought than others... I like when there is a bolder pop of color or interesting element in the space... I am a fan of an interesting backsplash with some personality ( unless of course you are the type of person who has a lot of things on the counter where it hides the splash - then just do something interesting over the stove ). It is a great place to push the design envelope! If you get tired of years down the line, it won't be too difficult to change....I guess I have had enough of white and grey or white on white kitchens with carerra.... I am always looking for color.... enough neutrals!

It really doesn't matter what any of us say - we all have differnt experiences, tastes and live in many places.... as long as you are choosing things you really love, you can't go wrong! It's your kitchen and so far it is looking great!

Heck, don't feel like it's hard for you. These are very important choices you'll be living with for a long time. It's a great space and I think you're smart to really think it through.

I think I might stick with a rather cool color for paint and if you want to add warm colors, I'd do that with accents.

I would go with a little more color _ a little too washed out with the cabinets, though the contrasting grout advice might remedy that
