I have a few dozen Gasteraloe plants (Gasteria x Aloe hybrids) and love them. They seem to inherit the BEST qualities of each parent. I grow mine in containers in either VERY bright shade, or sun with afternoon shade. So fun. Let us know what you do with yours and how it works out. I just posted this one the "what looks good/bad March 2015" thread, but here's my Gasteraloe 'Green Ice' this morning on the east side of the house. You can see the dried up bloom stalks from previous blooms. It flowers a couple of times a year. This location is full sun until afternoon and then shade from the house. Happy gardening!

mine is green ice. I haven't seen any other varieties. I'll post a photo 2morrow.

Very pretty, temperene! That's a great looking specimen! I don't have any extras of Gasteraloe 'Green Gold', but it's very easy to find. I just saw a couple at Home Depot on Thursday. Nice fig in the background, by the way, what variety is it and do you like it? Happy gardening!

My Brown Turkey fig was planted in May 1995. Its now over 30 feet tall with two crops a year. It also is a huge breeding ground for lacewings : ) so I plant my tomatoes under it.
