Demo started on January 26th. Although there haven't been any major problems, there have been a few minor snafus.

When disconnecting my gas stove, the contractor shut off the gas. However, when I woke up at 4 am the next day and the temperature was 55 degrees in the house we realized that he shut off the gas coming into the house, not just the gas going to the stove.

Several days after the gas was turned on I tried to use my gas fireplace, but it wouldn't start because the pilot light needed to be restarted. Had to figure that out.

The electrician shut off the power to the refrigerator and never turned it back on. Melted pushups are all over the freezer. What few things we had in the fridge and freezer had to be thrown away.

As of Friday, February 20th the wet bar in the lower level is now complete! The kitchen is probably three weeks out (at least) but the wet bar is done. Countertops have been measured, cork floors and some appliances should be installed this week, and pantry shelves are ordered.
