I want to turn a bathroom closet into a freestanding shower (use adjacent closet for shower also). But the bathroom door swings to where the closet is which would be the entry to the shower which will make it awkward. The door is set back from the hallway so it it were an out swinging door it wouldn't hit or obstruct anything or anyone. But I've never seen a door swing out.

I can't do a pocket door because of space/electric.
