Help! My slash pine seedlings in containers are turning yellowish

I have several hundred slash pine seedlings in one gallon containers. The pine needles are turning a bit yellow-ish. What does that mean? I am afraid they they are getting cooked in the heat of SW Florida sun. Over-watering? Under-watering? Too hot? Shock from the transplant plug to container? The soil temp is in the mid 90's. That seems hot to me. Thoughts? Comments? Questions? Thanks!

If in black pots, the pot/medium can indeed become way too hot for plants to withstand. Not just in your hot area but anywhere the sun shines. If you're still around, I'd strongly recommend you either get them out of the pots-the roots are going to wind around and around anyway, which is no good-or paint the pots with white or other reflective paint.
