Hi. May I ask if your children's play is in front of tv? I assume so. That's good for times you all participate together, but I wonder if you've tried [if it would even work] moving couch parallel to fireplace so there'd be a play space behind / a running zone by the window? That must mean moving tv though....

Does the love seat back face an adjoining kitchen? Do you want to keep the leather furniture? Is there a coffee table in the space now? A couple of more photos would help.

A coffee table will make the room more adult-ish. And provide a much needed spot to put your feet on after the kids are tucked into bed. (LOL). How about something like this? The cushion is removable so makes it even more flexible/useful.

Will your credenza & TV fit on one side or other to the fireplace? This would put the main focal points of the room together & leave more choices for furniture placement? Just take measurements also of the larger pieces as well. I do not want you to move everything around when all you really need to do is measure.

Yes for now we will have to keep the leather couches. We have a sofa table coming for behind the love seat. No coffee table now cause some serious horse play goes down in there lol. But I love the style of that table. Here are a few more pictures. Thanks for the help!

consider placing the sofa table behind the larger sofa and add some interest there. Discount the specific pieces in the photo....just an example.

Those pretty printed chairs should take center stage on both sides of fireplace, facing out. Sofa and love seat should face each other with a table between them. Sofa table can still go behind the sofa. Seems like there would still be room for the little to play, just not in and around your seating area. How about a nice rug to anchor the seating area too...to help define the space. Feeling like the recliner needs to find another home. Too much of the same.
