It depends on the style and the wall colours (not just in the kitchen, but the feel of the house), but I would tend towards black or near-black for the countertop, or a very dark quartz. I love the crispness that look provides, especially with stainless steel.

When you say white quartz do you mean a pure white? If so, having white cabinets and a pure white counter myself, I would say yes too much white. I think you will find yourself struggling to warm it up. I know I felt like I made a huge mistake until I put in a marble and limestone backsplash which added a lot of warmth. So if you are committed to a white tile I would suggest either a marble look for your quartz or a darker solid - there are a lot of options between white and black in quartz if you want a solid. I have seen nice taupe/greys.

I am doing a white kitchen reno as well and leaning toward a marbled looking quarts and maybe a glass smoke or bluish tint subway tile. Would love to see the results when you are finished.

Hi, we are doing new construction and our home won't be done for a while but our builder doesn't have a ton of quartz to choose from. For now, I've chosen a dark grey quartz but I'm going to go back and check if they have something similar to carrara marble. If not, I'll stick to the grey. I think your choices sound beautiful too!
