Dear Rose,

Your existing kitchen seems to be in very good condition. Are you considering a
different layout for your existing kitchen appliances and cabinetry? I think
this would be your best bet if you want to get the most value from your
renovation. You're already replacing the floors and counters. Are you going to
uninstall your cabinetry to do that?

You could design a kitchen that would look more appealing and work much better.
Some of the issues I see.

You have a lot less counter space than you could have. The fully exposed
cabinet end panels on the tall, counter standing, and base cabinets should
match the door in style. The island back panel should be a wains panel as well.
For a much richer look (see attached photo).

Also, when you're at the sink you stare at a wall. And when you look into the
kitchen that elevation is less appealing than it could be. I don't see a
trash pull out on your sink wall.

Depending how far apart those windows are. Your current sink location might be
better suited for your cook top or range with a fume hood above it. I don't see
a cook top I thought it would be on the island but can't tell from the photos.

You might consider having your existing cabinetry painted. Which is much less
expensive than new cabinetry.

White painted cabinets and black counters long bar handles on all cabinets and I would change the glass cabinets to wall hung to free up some counter space as you don't have much that would be if keeping the layout and most cabinets. Otherwise a good kitchen designer and a gut job.
