Cambria Torquay edge

Hi all

We are just embarking on a major home renovation. I have been poring over countertop choices for our kitchen and have decided on Cambria Torquay but would really like a beveled miter edge. I feel the look is more classic and might not be as expensive as 6cm bullnose. The website indicates that they have a mitered edge but it looks very square which I feel is a more modern shape. Does anyone know if they will bevel a mitered edge?

First let me say, excellent choice in countertops. Cambria is an absolute favorite of mine and a "go to" for my client projects. I believe IDRIS or LEDGE might meet your request.

Thank you. Actually, I am very specifically looking for a mitered edge that is beveled. Both the Idris and ledge look modern in style to me. The edge on the marble in the attached photo is exactly what I would like. Do you think Cambria would bevel it for me? Or are the edge profiles listed the only ones that we can select from? I might have to look into a thick bullnose if that is the case, b/c the other edge profiles read to modern to me.

I would contact the vendor you are purchasing your Cambria from and inquire with them as to what the fabricator can do.

The problem with bevel on a miter is the seam ( glue line where the two 45 degree mitres meet) will run right through the middle of the bevel which will stand out like a sore thumb. It's best hidden in a small radius edge like a small pencil.
