Start with painting your vanity white. A new wall paper or paint would change the look. Change out your accessories starting with a new shower curtain or add glass shower doors. Opt for a more contemporary stool near the tub. Your mirror and light fixture look good to me.

I am with you on your anti-brown sentiments! I can't tell exactly what is on the walls, tile or wallpaper? Either way, with the brown that you will be keeping in the floors, etc, I think a pale robin's egg blue would look beautiful! Your flooring and the wood of the vanity has a bit of copper, which will contrast really well with a light aqua blue. The tile below is our 1x3" Robin's Egg Blue, and the paint color is Benjamin Moore Paradiso. As for the shower curtain, I like the idea of something in either white, gray/silver, or both. The one pictured below is from Bed Bath and Beyond's site and has a stripe pattern. And after that, just make sure to get towels that match your new and improved color scheme. Hope this serves as some good inspiration for you!

I would paint ( or strip n stain)the vanity a deep, deep espresso and it would look very sophisticated. I feel that would work better than white or any other options with your granite and floor tile. Then, pull out a warm gray from the granite top and do that on walls. A new shower curtain and new bath! Best of luck!
