Floor paint disaster! Please help.

After much consideration we decided we would paint floor in the guest room of our heritage house so we looked at paint chips until we found just the right one, then headed off to the paint store. Luckily I read the label before opening the can because it contains a fungicide! I phoned the store who said I could return the paint even though it had been tinted. Now I need to know what kind of paint we can safely use for an interior floor?

Any porch and floor paint will work--with the correct prep. A mildewcide is a common ingredient in porch and floor enamel. Not an issue at all.

It is an issue for me live_wire, opening a can of that paint could put me in the hospital. Carpets are also out because of off gassing. If there is no paint suitable for floors that is healthy we will need to live with them and that us too bad because they are a mess.

There is no such thing as a healthy floor paint. Or clear wood floor finish. Period. Walking on painted wood will wear through it all pretty quickly. Replace it with a factory finished product if you can't use conventional durable floor finishes.

I have managed to find a floor paint that I can use. It was serendipity that found it actually; hubby bought a can of mis-tint paint at the local hardware store to use in a shed and it was floor paint. I checked the label, got in touch with the manufacturer who sent me their Technical Data Sheet on the product and I now know there is a 100% latex and polyurethane paint I can use in our house. It is by SICO. Thought you all would want to know.
